The library offers a wide variety of books for all age groups and interests, including fiction, nonfiction, mysteries, romance, graphic novels, multilingual books, local history, Indigenous titles, and more.

The Niagara Falls Anti-Racism Committee, in partnership with the Niagara Falls Public Library, have selected titles for each grade level that feature representations of racial, cultural, religious, ability, sexual and gender diversity

Wondering if you’ll like a video game enough to buy it? Try one first – you can borrow all the latest video games at the library!

Nintendo Switch video game consoles are available for checkout at NFPL.

Music CDs

Our Music Collection offers a large selection of CDs with a great mix of all your favourite artists and genres.

CD Audiobooks

NFPL has a large selection of CD Audiobooks which are narrated books on CD  - great for commuting or your next road trip!


Playaways are preloaded audiobooks that are compact and can be carried anywhere - no internet or downloading required.  All you need is 1 AAA battery, headphones and away you go!


Wi-Fi Hotspots

Kajeet Wifi Hotspot

The Kajeet Smartspot is a portable hotspot that provides free internet access on the go.

Chromebook Lending


We offer Chromebooks for public use at all of our locations during our opening hours.


Launch Pads

LaunchPads are durable tablets preloaded with themed content such as videos, games, puzzles, and comics for kids aged 3-13. These devices are user-friendly and do not require an internet connection. Simply switch them on at any time, from any location!

Get ready to enjoy nature!  Grab a knapsack filled with fun items to explore the great outdoors  – for children ages 4-10.

Outdoor Equipment

The library has several pieces of outdoor equipment available for customers to borrow. At the moment, we have hiking poles, crampons, snowshoes, and binoculars. Each of these items can be checked out for one week with up to two additional one week renewals (barring other holds).


There’s something fishy going on at NFPL! Library customers can borrow fishing rods, reels, tackle boxes, and youth fishing licenses thanks to the TackleShare Program — available from May to September.

Seed To Seed

NFPL is growing! Check out our collection of free seeds, plant your own vegetable garden, then donate seeds back to the library from your harvest — available February to the end of September.

Parks Permits

The library offers two types of Parks Passes: Ontario Parks Library Day-Use Pass and  Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) NaturePlus Pass.

Multilingual and ESL

NFPL offers books, DVDs, and digital resources for adults, teens, and children in multiple languages. Additionally, instructional resources are available for customers learning English as their second language.

Indigenous Collection

In partnership with GoodMinds, NFPL has created a diverse collection of Indigenous material available for loan at all locations.

NFPL provides both print and digital newspapers, as well as a Local History Newspaper Index featuring historical headlines and notices from Niagara Falls.


Niagara Falls Public Library offers two digital eMagazine resources, Flipster and PressReader.

Flipster offers all your favourite magazines including The New Yorker, Architectural Digest, Better Homes & Gardens, Canadian MoneySaver, Forbes, TIME and many more!

PressReader offers many popular magazines in multiple languages including The Economist, Vogue, A Taste of Home, Auto Express and much more!

Both platforms give you access to current and past issues.
